PROVET's mission is to provide innovative and safe products that meet customers’ needs, by taking into account the safeguard of the health, welfare and performance of animals.
PROVET holds a long term experience in the development of formulations for pharmaceutical products, in the development and application of new analytical methods for the control of raw materials and finished products, as well as in the conduction of non-clinical studies.
In R&D and GLP laboratories, a group of experienced scientists, using the most advanced tools and sophisticated equipment, is encouraged to break new grounds in developing more advanced products and processes, that will improve the health of animals, adding value to the owners’ businesses and driving up standards in the provided animal care.
To achieve that, we actively seek to leverage our in-house R&D expertise with a forward-thinking business development and constantly looking to partner with Universities, Research Institutions and Organizations, contributing to the overall development of the company.
GLP test unit
more than 80 studies have been conducted
GLP test unit can support and conduct the following studies:
- Determination of active substances and their metabolites in biological fluids for Pharmacokinetic, Bioavailability and Bioequivalence studies.
- Residue depletion studies in animal tissues and animal products (for the establishment of the withdrawal period).
Research and Development Department
PROVET's R&D department conducts researches which are exclusively based on existing molecules. R&D is mainly focusing on:
- New applications for existing active ingredients.
- Improved animal-friendly formulations (solutions, suspensions, powders, tablets).
- New indications.
- Development and validation of new analytical methods for the control of raw materials and final products.
- Preparation of registration dossiers for new products or renewal of dossiers for existing products.
- Stability studies, including protocols according to VICH guidelines.
